ExtendAg, founded in 1978, started out as an entrepreneurial business that worked directly with Pacific Northwest tomato processors to offer supply chain management software solutions to connect produce growers, haulers, and processors. The business evolved and was acquired by John Deere in 1995. However, to refocus attention on its core manufacturing businesses, John Deere decided to divest the software division in 2011. ExtendAg was acquired by Volaris Group as part of the Cultura Technologies Agri-food portfolio.
ExtendAg has seen consistent growth and now includes some of the largest food companies across the globe, including Campbells, Dole, DelMonte, Conagra, Seneca, Basic American Foods, LambWeston, Kraft Heinz, Pacific Coast Producers, and more.
